Ron Chironna

Ron, a native of Staten Island, New York, is a Pratt Institute summa cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. At Pratt he majored in Communications Design and Illustration, learning the business from some of the top professionals in the field. Throughout his career, Ron has worked as a freelance illustrator for clients from all fields of publishing and the media: television, magazines, textbooks, advertising, trade books, mass market books, professional journals, professional and medical organizations, electronic books, and game companies. Ron feels fortunate that he’s had the opportunity to be a teaching artist since 2008, and that he’s learned so much from working with all the students and teachers he’s had the privilege to encounter. Ron is currently on the rosters of Studio in a School, The Center for Arts Education/Partnership with Children, Marquis Studios, and Arts For All. “Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.” – Sydney Gurewitz Clemens.
