Studio proudly partners with The Metropolitan Museum of Art and New York City Public Schools to present P. S. Art 2026, an annual celebration of the creativity, talent, and artistic achievements of NYC public school students and their dedicated art teachers. Now in its 24th year, and its 19th year presented at The Met, P. S. Art highlights the transformative impact of arts education by showcasing exceptional student artwork from across the city.
This year’s exhibition features 125 works selected from nearly 1,000 submissions by students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The artworks on view include collages, drawings, mixed-media pieces, paintings, photographs, prints, and sculptures created by young artists from all five boroughs of New York City, as well as District 75, the citywide district serving students with disabilities.
Each piece reflects the curiosity, creativity, and thoughtful artistic exploration nurtured through meaningful arts learning experiences. The works demonstrate students’ engagement with materials, experimentation with artistic processes, and ability to communicate their ideas and perspectives through visual expression. Together, they offer a glimpse into the diverse experiences, discoveries, and creative journeys of New York City’s young artists.
As part of Studio’s commitment to supporting the next generation of artists, all graduating seniors featured in this year’s exhibition received the Studio Award for Excellence in the Arts, which includes a $1,000 award to help fund their continued artistic pursuits and future creative endeavors. Through this recognition, Studio celebrates students’ achievements and encourages them to continue exploring, creating, and growing as artists beyond the classroom.
Studio is honored to celebrate the vital role of arts education and to partner with The Met and NYC Public Schools in recognizing the remarkable creativity of student artists across the city.
