On October 22, Studio in a School opened the Studio Selections 2019 exhibition to the public at its 1 East 53rd Street Gallery in Manhattan. The show includes almost 50 works of art created by students in 28 New York City public schools from 3K through 5th grade.
Studio Selections 2019 celebrates the creativity, unique individuality and collective experiences of young artists, featuring paintings, drawings, prints, collages, large-scale collaborative murals, and puppets. Through the art-making process, the students gain the tools to express themselves and respond to their surroundings. The exhibition will remain on view through January, 2020.
