A special event for students in Studio in a School’s Long Term program, Open Studio brings professional artists to the classroom to share their inspirations, ideas and artworks. Recently, a class of excited 4th graders at PS 123 in Manhattan were visited by artist Rachel Hovnanian, whose presentation sparked a lively conversation about the importance of nature, and prompted the students to brainstorm, sketch and create their own nature-inspired sculptures in clay.
