What happens to leaves after they fall off a tree?
Find an autumn leaf outside and bring it inside. Watch it change over the next few days. Draw those changes as they happen.
How did it change? What kinds of lines can you use to show the changing shape and edges?
Do you notice any textures? Are some parts of the leaf darker than others?
How could you use marks or shading to show these textures and shades?
