Do you have a favorite color? Go on a color hunt in your home and try to find as many objects in your favorite color. You might also find a wall or a piece of furniture, even a whole room in that color!
Look at your objects closely. Are they the exact same color? How are they different? Are the colors lighter or darker, brighter or duller, or tilting towards another color entirely?
Now arrange three or more of your objects and draw them. You can use colored pencils, crayons or oil pastels.
How will you mix your colors? Will you gently layer them or press down hard?
Try drawing them on a colored background!
