Puddles aren’t only for splashing! In the right light at the right angle, the surface of a puddle acts as a mirror and reflects images of the things above and around it.
Go outside after a rainstorm and find a puddle. Move around it slowly. Watch the way the reflected image changes depending on your position. Stand above it to see your own reflection.
What do you see? Is all of the surface of the puddle a mirror, or just part of it? Can you see the reflection on top of the puddle and into it as well? Do you like the shape of the puddle?
Does your puddle picture tell a funny story? Can something be both up and down?
Now draw your puddle picture. You can draw it with lines, values (black, white and gray), or colors.
