Studio in a School sadly marks the passing of Vartan Gregorian, President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York and a long-time friend and generous supporter of Studio in a School. In addition to his many accomplishments at Carnegie Corporation, as well as at University of Pennsylvania and Brown University, Dr. Gregorian achieved legendary status during his tenure at the New York Public Library through the 1980s, as he brought that institution back from the brink of bankruptcy and closure.
