We look back on the extraordinary years of 2020 and 2021 and see how Studio in a School defied expectations and flourished in unexpected ways, despite the challenges. Our programs were in full swing when Covid-19 appeared and a quick shift to virtual learning needed to be installed. There was an immediate willingness from everyone at Studio to step up and find ways to sustain connections.
“When everything shut down in March 2020, I called each of our school principals and had conversations about how we could continue to serve their students during lockdown,” -Nicola Giardina, Director of the Studio NYC Residency Program.
Despite the impact of the pandemic, Studio in a School’s staff, Artist Instructors, Board Members, and supportive community all found new ways to uphold and strengthen our arts programing. We are pleased to share a glimpse of what we accomplished during this time in our Annual Review.
