The Studio in a School Association is proud to present Young Visions 2022.
The return of Studio’s annual exhibition Young Visions 2022 to Christie’s New York, after a two-year hiatus due the pandemic, felt like a jubilant homecoming. Featuring over 200 vibrant artworks, this exhibition highlights the outstanding artistic achievements of students from Studio in a School’s visual arts education programs. The exhibition was on view from June 8 – 14, with a festive reception on the 8th. More than 200 guests joined us to admire the artwork and celebrate.
At the reception, Alison Scott-Williams, President of Studio in a School NYC remarked:
As the pandemic has continued to impact our daily lives, I strongly believe that the visual arts remain more vital than ever. They provide our children with much-needed opportunities for social and emotional growth, giving them an outlet to explore their feelings and experiences. This exhibition showcases the depth of what our students are feeling and experiencing, as reflected in their work. The strength of the works on view is undeniable– Bravo to our young artists for creating such powerful pieces.
For the first time ever, this exhibition included artwork from students in Cleveland, Ohio, and Newark, New Jersey. These artworks were created in programs overseen by the Studio Institute which shares program models and develops artist partnerships with communities outside of New York City.
We are grateful to Christie’s for hosting this exhibition once again, and for co-producing numerous digital exhibitions on their website over the past two years.
