Founded by Agnes Gund in 1999, Arts Intern provides opportunities for college undergraduates to learn about nonprofit arts professions through internships in museums and cultural institutions. The program seeks candidates with demonstrated financial need and encourages applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Interns work in meaningful positions in many different departments, including curatorial, education, marketing, development, collections, and special events. Outside of their host organization, Arts Interns also complete a significant educational and portfolio-building component.
